Essendon Football Club icon Greg Sewell will display his vintage classic car at the Bridgewater Lake retirement village’s craft market this Saturday, 29 November.
The 92-year-old has owned his 1957 President Classic Studebaker for almost four decades.
Mr Sewell, who bought the car in the mid-1980s, said it is a beautiful car.
“It was special for me to own a Studebaker after watching my family drive them when I was a kid,” he said.
The grandfather-of-four is only the third owner of the classic vehicle, which was first purchased by a Malvern milk bar owner.
Mr Sewell played 171 games for Essendon Football Club between 1952 and 1961, before serving as assistant coach in their 1965 premiership season.
Mr Sewell is displaying his car between 9am and 2pm at the Roxburgh Park retirement estate’s community centre.
