The release of two significant lots at O’Herns Logistics Park in Epping will kick off the development of the estate that is set to support up to 4000 employment opportunities.
Sandhurst Retail and Logistics (SRL) is calling for expressions of interest in two substantial land lots in Melbourne’s northern industrial precinct.
Up for sale are the 4.3 hectare and 2.18 hectare parcels which are the first to be listed for sale within the 140 hectare logistics park.
SRL said the land releases are believed to be one of the largest in Australia this year and are expected to sell in excess of $35 million.
SRL chief executive Vivek Subramanian said the park will provide vital development relief in a highly stressed market and will enable businesses to expand and grow.
“[This development] delivers long-term value to future occupiers through its premium connectivity to an expanding transport and infrastructure network,” he said.
Zoned for Industrial 1 (IN1Z), the lots are located in the first of nine stages to be developed at the logistics park and sit approximately 640 metres from the Hume Freeway diamond interchange.
External works to the estate commenced in August 2022, with stage one to comprise approximately 7.1 hectares of built form.
SRL is targeting some of the world’s largest industrial and household name occupiers with speculative space expected to be available from 2025.
Mr Subramanian said the logistics park will provide approximately 147,000 square metres of space in the eastern parcel alone.
“When combining both the eastern and western lots, SRL will develop approximately 500,000 square metres of office and warehouse space for some of the most renowned occupiers and businesses in the world,” he said.
“This will be key to supplying the industry with vital resolutions to the demand for land and supply chain issues impacting the whole of Victoria and Australia.”
Expressions of interest opened on Monday, May 15, and close on Thursday, June 8, at 4pm.
