An Attwood man is one of three people charged following an alleged assault at a Reservoir address.
The charges follow an alleged incident where a male in his 20s was assaulted at an address on Maclagan Crescent on February 6.
The man received serious upper body injuries but was able to escape from the property.
Police carried out searches on Friday morning (February 11) at six residential addresses including one in Attwood.
A 24-year-old Attwood man was charged with intentionally causing serious injury, recklessly causing serious injury, assault, extortion and assault with a weapon.
A 41-year-old Reservoir man and a 30-year-old Ferntree Gully man have also been charged. All three will face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday afternoon for a remand application.
Police seized a number of items at each address, including a range of weapons.
