Anzac Day public transport

Public transport services will operate to a public holiday timetable on Anzac Day, Friday, April 25.

Services will mostly run to a Saturday timetable with some alterations and extra services running for the Anzac Day Shrine Dawn Service.

Passengers are advised to allow additional time to get to the Shrine of Remembrance.

V/Line train services will also operate to a Saturday timetable, except for the The Overland train service from Melbourne to Adelaide which will operate to a normal Friday service.

V/Line regional coach services will run to a Saturday timetable except for the 9.10pm service from Melbourne to Mildura and the10.05pm from Mildura to Melbourne which will operate as per a Friday timetable.

Night Network train and bus services will operate as normal as will night time regional coach services.

During public holidays, the daily myki fare is capped at $7.60 ($3.80 for concessions and seniors).

While some concession holders may benefit from free travel on weekends, this entitlement does not extend to public holiday weekend timetables.

Some passengers may also be eligible for free travel during the Anzac Day period.
