DPV Health has opened a new mental health site in Epping.

The site was delivered in partnership with Safer Care Victoria, Family Safety Victoria and other key community services.

DPV Health chief executive Don Tidbury said the site would allow for the delivery of much needed services.

According to the organisation’s website, this includes culturally-appropriate mental health services such as counselling, psychology, social work and group programs,

“Responding to community need is a key priority for DPV Health,” Mr Tidbury said.

“We look forward to working with Safer Care Victoria, The Orange Door and other agencies to support the health, safety and wellbeing of people across northern Melbourne.”

The site will also host the Orange Door, providing access to mental health, family violence and family support services.

The Orange Door service will include practitioners from DPV Health, Berry Street, Kids First and the Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency to support individuals and families, including children.

DPV Health said the new site would support the expansion of the organisation’s locally-based, inclusive mental health services.

The service is located in the Quest Epping building adjacent to the Pacific Epping Shopping Centre.
