$68M retail hub set to transform Craigieburn

A major retail shake-up is on the horizon for Craigieburn, with ground officially broken on Aston Square, a $68 million neighbourhood shopping centre designed to meet the needs of one of Melbourne’s fastest-growing communities.

Located at 179 Elevation Boulevard, the development will deliver a 1400-square metre full-line supermarket, large-format gym, high-quality childcare, and more than 18 new businesses, from specialty retail to cafes and restaurants.

The project is being led by BCA Corporation and Aston Central Pty Ltd, with Oreana Construct managing the build and First Urban overseeing project management.

Aston Square is expected to open in late 2026.

“This is about more than just bricks and mortar–it’s about creating a true local hub,” Aston Square representative Manpreet Dandiwal said.

“We’re building a centre that reflects the character, values and needs of Craigieburn families.”

BCA Corporation development director Michael Ellis said the team had carefully curated a mix of tenants to blend everyday convenience with exciting new offerings.

“Aston Square will become a true focal point for the area–somewhere people can shop, grab a coffee, drop their kids at childcare, or work out all in one place,” Mr Ellis said.

Plans are already in motion for a second stage of development, with potential for large-format retail and commercial spaces responding to surging demand in Melbourne’s north.
