Thomastown mother pleads for 12-year-old son to return

UPDATE: The mother of a 12-year-old Thomastown boy missing for more than two weeks has made a desperate plea for him to return home.

Emanuel Fraser was last seen on June 21, when he left his home in Thomastown to visit friends.

He spoke to his mother at 7pm that day but has not returned home since.

His mother, known only as Cilla, said she was concerned for Emanuel, who was due to celebrate his birthday with his twin in less than two weeks.

In a heartfelt plea to her son, Cilla said he was missed.

‘‘Emanuel we love you, we want you to coe home. We’re not angry and we’re not upset,’’ she said.

Police said there had been numerous unconfirmed sightings of Emanuel in the Preston area.

He left home without his mobile phone and had not attended school, a spokeswoman said.

He has no relatives in Melbourne and police are uncertain if he has access to cash.

‘‘Quite simply we miss him and we’re really, really concerned for him,’’ Cilla said.

‘‘I just want him hom. A part of our family is missing and I want him home.’’
