UPDATE: A 25-year-old man has been accused of murdering a three-year-old boy in Glenroy on Friday.
The toddler was taken to the Royal Children’s Hospital after suffering life threatening injuries on Friday afternoon and later died in hospital.
Brok Hughes was taken into custody and charged with one count of murder.
He is due to face Melbourne Magistrates Court on Saturday morning.
Emergency services were called to a property at Widford Street in Glenroy about 1.30pm on Friday before the boy was rushed to hospital.
