Police are seeking two men they believe may be responsible for a brutal attack on a man in Campbellfield
The victim, a 44-year-old Dallas man, was walking along Barry Road, Campbellfield, to the Upfield train station just before 5am on Friday, May 2.
Victoria Police spokeswoman Melissa Seach said two men in their 20s confronted the victim at the entrance ramp of the train station and taunted him before throwing a bottle at his head.
They then pushed the man to the ground and kicked him in the face, breaking his nose, before fleeing the scene and stealing food and drink from a nearby service station.
Ms Seach said the Dallas man “stumbled to a ticket counter, where Metro staff assisted him and called an ambulance”.
He was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with fractures to his face.
Anyone with information about the bashing or robbery is asked to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
