P-plater crashes car into Mill Park friend’s lounge room

A P-plater crashed his car through the lounge room of his friend’s house in Mill Park on Tuesday morning.

The Metropolitan Fire Brigade received a call just before 11pm to a home on Lamina Avenue, where the front of a house had been devastated by the car’s impact.

MFB spokesman Keith Robinson said the car caused major damage to the front of the house, which was empty at the time.

“We were there to reinforce the building to make it safe,” Mr Robinson said.

A Victoria police spokeswoman said the driver lost control of the car, and that alcohol or drugs were not a factor in the crash.
