Drivers sought for Whittlesea meals on wheels

Volunteers are needed to help with the delivery of meals to people who are largely housebound and isolated as a result.

Whittlesea’s delivered meals service is recruiting people who can join the drivers’ pool roster on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

Meals are sent around the municipality each weekday morning from the Barry Road Community Activity Centre in Thomastown.

Volunteers will need to use their own roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance and have a current driver’s licence.

Vehicle costs are reimbursed and on-the-job training and support provided.
