Attention Mernda: The food trucks are coming.
The Food Truck Festival will be rolling into the Mernda Recreation Reserve on Schotters Road this week for a five-day food-filled event.
Running from Wednesday to Sunday, the festival will feature close to 50 different food trucks over the five days, such as The Rib Crib, Mr Burger and Bites on Wheels.
The Food Truck Park director Frank Rusitovski said the event will be run in partnership with the Mernda CFA and Whittlesea SES.
“The food truck culture is a huge part of this city, and now we want to share the love of street food in new neighbourhoods craving cultural events,” he said.
The Food Truck Festival is open Wednesday and Thursday from 5-10pm and Friday to Sunday from 11am-10pm.
