Whittlesea kids can get up close with nature at Westfield Plenty Valley this Saturday.
As part of World Environment Day, Whittlesea council will be running family activities and an interactive native animal show at the Mill Park shopping centre from 10.30am-2.30pm.
Children can get their faces painted like a blue-tongue lizard and other local wildlife while parents can pick up gardening tips.
There will also be a planting day held at Doreen’s Elation Conservation Reserve on Sunday.
Mernda Park Primary School pupils kicked off World Environment Day early, cleaning up local reserves with some help from mayor Ricky Kirkham.
