Be a trend setter not a follower

Shane and Pam Langdon, owners of Langdon Building, have gained a solid reputation with the homes they’ve designed and built in regional Victoria in the past 15 years – and now they are bringing their talents to Melbourne’s north and west growth corridors.

Shane’s a builder who’s known for his exacting standards, as well as his adherence to total transparency with his clients.

“Many builders create display homes that are illusory,” Shane says. “Buyers fall in love with a display home, only to find out down the track that the standard homes look quite different when upgrades are excluded.”

“Our display homes are real, no illusions, so what a client can see is what their new home will actually contain. Of course, each design can be customised.

“What you see is what you get, with nothing hidden. Clients won’t be ‘tricked’ into loving a display, only to find the standard version they can actually afford is considerably reduced in the bells and whistles department.”

As general manager Pam puts it, “We don’t believe in big egos or making promises we can’t keep.

“We’re a big enough outfit to ensure delivery of outstanding service, great value and exceptional build quality, but we’re still small enough that we can take care of all the little things homebuyers want.”

Langdon is a trend-setter, rather than a trend follower.

“We believe in the freedom to create, innovate and set the trends in our home designs,” Shane says.

“We’re always innovating and implementing new ideas, and our choice of designs is vast.”

Langdon’s exclusive MyRoom indoor/outdoor living concept is one example of innovative thinking.

Part of the designer range, MyRoom is a fully enclosed space, accessed via cavity sliders from the house, that effectively gives another living room to use year-round. When opened right up, there’s incredible flow-through and looks fab.

Another clever offering is the customisable MyHomeOffice option, an absolute boon for people who work from home, so important now that new work habits are being formed through the coronavirus pandemic.

Display homes at Donnybrook and Wollert have these wonderful options on full display.

As well, homes come in designs to suit all block sizes, including very narrow
ones.

Now that restrictions have eased, the Donnybrook and Wollert displays have re-opened, so if a new home or house and land package is on the agenda, Langdon Building is well worth checking out.
