Thousands of Victorians took to the streets on two wheels on March 13 to recognise the annual Ride2School Day, aimed at teaching students to opt for healthier lifestyle choices.
Now in its ninth year, the program has encouraged tens of thousands of children to walk or ride to school.
About 20 St Monica’s College students, including Ross Alexopoulos, jumped onto their bikes to get to school in Epping.
The program is run by Bicycle Network, a self-funded, pro-bike community group, which hopes the day will remind parents that riding or walking to school is a great way for their children to meet their recommended daily dose of 60 minutes of physical activity.
