Police are investigating two separate shooting incidents in Broadmeadows overnight.
Hume Crime Investigation Unit detectives have been told that two men fired several shots at a car as its driver was reversing out of a residential driveway on Camp Road about 11.10pm last night.
The driver continued reversing before colliding with another car travelling west along Camp Road.
Police spokeswoman Creina O’Grady said two women received minor injuries and were treated at the scene by paramedics.
The driver of the reversing car was not injured.
About five hours later, about 4.30am on Monday morning, Leading Senior Constable Paul Turner said shots were fired at a house in Graham Street, Broadmeadows.
He said guttering and a window were damaged.
“Between four and five people were in the house at the time but no injuries were reported,” he said.
“At this stage it is not believed the shootings were related.”
Investigations are ongoing.
