A man has been charged with attempted murder over a shooting in Thomastown that left a teenager with life threatening injuries earlier this month.
Dennis Rapovski, 30, of Mill Park, is expected to face the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
He was arrested by armed crime taskforce detectives on Tuesday night and remanded after an out of sessions hearing.
A 19-year-old man was allegedly shot in the neck about 10.30pm on February 1. He had been walking with two friends along Dalton Road in Thomastown.
Police have previously said two men in a light-coloured sedan had pulled up alongside the group and a shot was fired.
The victim was rushed to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition.
Paramedics at the scene had warned a full recovery was unlikely.
The following day, a machete and two pairs of golf sticks were found lying on the front lawn of a house nearby the incident.
