The Sunbury Wine and Food Festival offers wine from the Sunbury region as well as food and entertainment for the whole family. Performers include James Blundell, Buddy England and the Vi-Queenz. A free commuter bus runs to and from Sunbury station to Rupertswood Mansion, 3 Macedon Street, Sunbury, on Sunday, October 27, from 11am. FRIENDS FROM BEYOND
Friends of Will Will Rook is a community group that helps to preserve the Will Will Rook cemetery. The cemetery has records of burials dating back to 1854. John Murray Peck, one of the four partners of the Cobb & Co coach company, is among those buried there. The group has been meeting to restore and tidy up the cemetery and would like others to help with the project and be part of the group. It meets on Monday, October 21, 11am-noon, at The Age Library, 1093 Pascoe Vale Road, Broadmeadows. Free.

A HISTORY OF RACEWEAR
Wear a fabulous frock, a statement hat or your own millinery creation to celebrate the Spring Racing Carnival and learn about the history of the Melbourne Cup’s Fashions on the Field at this event. Ann Dixon will present a history of the race and its Fashions On the Field competition with examples of fashionable wear from the 1860s to the present day.
