Kids acting up for Whittlesea Community Festival

NEW migrants have been honing their acrobatic and clowning skills with Westside Circus in preparation for a performance at this weekend’s City of Whittlesea Community Festival. Whittlesea mayor Stevan Kozmevski said four stages would host a full program of performers and artists throughout the festival, including the Wild dance group, Wickid Force Breakers and the French Connection.

“I’m thrilled we’ve got many new, innovative acts for our community festival,” Cr Kozmevski said. “I’m also delighted that many of our performers are new to the arts scene and just keen to give it a go.”

The free festival will be held at the Whittlesea Public Gardens, Barry Road, Thomastown, from 12.30pm–9pm on Sunday and will finish with a dazzling fireworks display.
