Trudy Castle’s secret to a long life is “join in with everybody, don’t have enemies, and always look on the bright side of life”.
She should know, having celebrated her 100th birthday last week surrounded by 50 family members and friends, at the Villa Maria Bundoora aged-care residence where she lives.

“I just feel like an old gal. The good part of my life is that I never fell ill; I have always been well and on my feet.”
