Living history: Friends of Woodlands Historic Park presents The Big Pond, a theatrical reenactment of a day in the life of Yan Yean caretaker John Wilson in 1892. On this particular day several visitors beat a path to Wilson’s door, the last two under the cover of darkness. On April 28 at 1pm and 3.15pm (two performances) at the Caretakers Cottage, Yan Yean Reservoir Park, Reservoir Road. Cost $15. Whittlesea welcome: The City of Whittlesea is holding a free expo to welcome new residents and showcase the area’s services on May 4 from 10.30am until 1pm. Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
