Warning on misleading electricity supply sales pitches

Consumer Affairs is warning residents to be wary of door-to-door sales people spruiking energy deals, following complaints about consumers being misled.

It has released tips for dealing with door-to-door and phone salespeople. Under the law, consumers have up to 10 business days to end an agreement with a door-to-door or telemarketing salesperson.
