AN after school homework program for migrants and refugees has won a funding boost.
Spectrum Migrant Resource Centre’s Homework Support Program, which provides qualified tutors to assist students in the northern suburbs with their studies, received $100,000 from the Ian Potter Foundation and $60,000 from the LUCRF’s Community Partnership Trust.
The funds will expand the program’s reach to include support to parents and extra tuition for students in literacy, language and numeracy.
