Pop wizardry a new stage of life for South Morang pupils

Grade 5 and 6 students from The Lakes South Morang P-9 school practise for their revised version of The Wizard of Oz.

Performing will be more than 60 students including a dance troupe from the school’s dance and music program called MAD, for no other reason than the children “go mad” in the creative course.

The school’s head of performing arts, Stephanie Cvetkovski, said teachers and students collaborated to compose songs and to learn 40 top hits for their version of Oz.

The shows will be at the Rivergum Theatre of Parade College in Plenty Road, Bundoora from 7pm on October 24 and 25. Details: 9401 3919.
