AN Epping-based food and beverage manufacturer has been awarded the 2012 Northern Business of the Year Award.
Northern Metropolitan MLC Craig Ondarchie presented Edlyn Foods with the honour in front of more than 220 people at a ceremony last month.
The award recognises a business for its sustainability, customer service, innovation, industry education and human resources.
Edlyn Foods managing director Andrew Donelly said he was thrilled to accept the award. “It is humbling to receive an award in such prestigious company, and is recognition of the efforts of all employees,” he said.
The 75-year-old family-owned business, which relocated to Epping in 2008, employs around 50 people.
The company is a key supplier of beverages, condiments and toppings, as well as bakery, dessert and culinary goods to more than 300 Australian businesses.
