Crafty Epping sculptor cultivates green ethos

Sculptor Liz Walker collects shiny and not so shiny things to create recycled art. The co-ordinator of Epping’s Greenbrook Community House, where some of her donated sculptures adorn the garden, is holding an exhibition.

“My whole practice is based around using recycled materials because of the ethical reason and the aesthetics, where the aged objects show the beauty of the passage of time,” she says.

The show, Home: Reframing Craft and Domesticity, is at the Hatch Contemporary Arts Space, 14 Ivanhoe Parade, Ivanhoe, from April 4 to May 11.
