Epping pensioners having a ball

Members of the Epping Pensioners Association count playing skittles as one of their favourite activities. The group meets every Tuesday at the Epping Memorial Hall for activities ranging from bowls and bingo to trips into the country. Association secretary Irene Short (pictured far left) says it’s “more like a family” than club. “We make lots of friends. And

there are never any arguments or nastiness. Everyone gets on well.” Costs are kept low to ensure pensioners can take part in outings. The group will head to Yarrawonga on June 12 and 13 for $42 for a weekend away.

Prospective members should contact Irene on 0437 100 610.
