Refugee students get homework help thanks to Whittlesea Learning Support Program

Volunteer Elin Vandenberg, 23, works through a tricky homework question with Johnny Anderson, 16, an African refugee now attending Lalor Secondary College.

The pair meets weekly as part of the Whittlesea Learning Support Program, an initiative that helps migrant and refugee students integrate into the education system.

The organisation is looking for new volunteers to help students with their homework.

Contact Lily Lim on 9401 6666 or email llim@whittleseacommunityconnections.org.au to apply.
