Quarry Hills bushland plan takes root

Nature-lovers such as Mernda resident Haydn Wallis (pictured) are invited to a community tree-planting day at Quarry Hills Bushland Park. The City of Whittlesea council will co-ordinate the planting between 10am and 2pm on Sunday, June 2, in an area of the 114-hectare park that is not currently accessible to the public. Participants must bring sturdy shoes, but council will provide tools and gloves. Meet at the corner of Hunters and Cravens roads, Mernda.

For more information, contact council’s bushland field officer on 9401 0539.
