Mernda residents are invited to stop singing in the shower and bring their best voices to join a new community singing group.
Co-founder Wendy Bester said the group is open to “anybody who loves to sing, no auditions needed, [and you] don’t need to be able to read sheet music”.
“It’s just singing for the fun and enjoyment of it.”
The group is taught by Margaret Crichton, who has run similar groups in the area.
“It’s a great opportunity for people to come together and get to meet their neighbours and just have fun and network,” Ms Bester said.
The group meets every Thursday between 7pm and 9pm during the third term.
At the Mernda Village Community Activity Centre. Sessions cost $5 and a light supper is provided.
