Mill Park comedian James Liotta likens Cultural Diversity Week to Valentine’s Day. Like love, he says, it’s something we should celebrate daily. “It’s always great to have that one day where you raise the stakes.”
The state government will host a number of events for the multicultural festival to encourage Victorians to share aspects of their culture, faith and language.
It starts on Saturday with a Premier’s Gala Dinner at Crown Palladium and wraps up on Sunday, March 23, with a Viva Victoria Festival at Federation Square.
Liotta will perform an Italian stand-up comedy sketch at Thomastown library on Monday, March 17.
Lalor Community Connection Day, will include performances at the Lalor library and Lalor Living and Learning Centre on March 22, including African dancing and drumming and a Greek band.
