SEARCHING FOR YARNS
Sharp eyes are needed to help Friends of Merri Creek members uncover examples of the rare plains yam daisy. Organisers hope to find specimens of the plant in a recently burnt indigenous grasslands zone. The friends group’s activities are funded by Communities for Nature and supported by the Victorian National Parks Association’s Naturewatch program. Meet at Kalkallo Common at 10am this Saturday.
