Roxburgh Park: Greenvale man caught doing 125km/h in 60km/h zone

A sports car worth more than half a million dollars was impounded by police after an early-morning intercept at Roxburgh Park on Sunday.

Fawkner Highway Patrol members clocked the red McLaren MP4-12C allegedly travelling at 125km/h in a 60km/h zone on Thomas Brunton Parade just after midnight. 

The driver, a 45-year-old Greenvale man, is due to be charged on summons with driving at excessive speed, driving an unregistered vehicle and other traffic-related offences. 

The car was impounded for 30 days.
