A 27-year-old Broadmeadows man was caught driving with three unrestrained children in his van just before 10pm on Wednesday.
Police officers intercepted the grey transit van on Camp Road and discovered three infants sitting on the lap of the front-seat passenger.
None of the children had appropriate restraints.
The driver was fined on the spot and will receive three infringement notices, one for each unrestrained passenger.
