The Greenvale Kangaroos has a fight on their hands after day one of their clash with Kingston Hawthorn in Victorian Premier Cricket.
The Kangaroos were at home on Saturday against the Hawks as they look for their second win of the season.
Kingston Hawthorn won the toss and decided to bat in hot conditions.
The Hawks were bowled out for 284 in the 84th over.
Benjamin Cliff took 4-61 for the Kangaroos, while Musa Hussain, Yaseen Muntasir and Declan Highgate took two wickets apiece.
The Kangaroos had to bat for nine overs at the end of day one and it wasn’t the start they were after.
The Kangaroos lost two quick wickets to finish the day at 2-19.
Odil Perera will resume on six and Ivan Zmak on zero.
Meanwhile, Footscray had a quieter day with the bat from what it has been accustomed to this season against Casey South Melbourne.
The Bulldogs were bowled out for 206.
Dylan Brasher top scored with 76 and Dylan Kight made 43 but no one could go on and make a big score.
Casey will resume at 0-15 after getting through seven overs.
