Five men charged following Broadmeadows stabbing investigation

Police have charged five men following an alleged affray and stabbing in Broadmeadows on 26 November .

A 24-year-old Taylors Lakes man was re-arrested on Monday 8 November and charged with multiple offences including intentionally and recklessly causing serious injury in circumstances of gross violence, affray and possessing a controlled weapon.

A 19-year-old Dallas man has also been charged with multiple offences including violent disorder, theft of a motor vehicle, reckless conduct endangering life and affray.

Both men have been remanded to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 23 February.

A 19-year old and an 18-year-old man, both from Meadow Heights were charged with violent disorder, affray, theft of a motor vehicle and negligently dealing with proceeds of a crime.

A 20-year-old Broadmeadows man has been charged with violent disorder, affray and theft of a motor vehicle.

The three men were all bailed to appear in Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court on 24 April.

A 33-year-old Meadow Heights man and a 17-year-old boy from the Hume area have been released pending summons.

Police are not looking for anyone else in connection to the incident.

On 26 November , a white Kia allegedly rammed a black Volkswagen multiple times before both cars drove on the wrong side of Pascoe Vale Road and collided with another vehicle.

A 20-year-old Broadmeadows man got out of one of the vehicles before he was allegedly stabbed, he then was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Four men were arrested and interviewed in relation to the incident at the time.
