Fernwood Tullamarine celebrates national recognition

Fernwood Fitness Tullamarine’s personal trainer, Kara Sleigh, has been nationally recognised, taking home the Heather Ritchie Personal Trainer of the Year award at the Fernwood Conference Gala Awards 2025, held at the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort from 9–11 October.

The annual Fernwood Conference and Gala Awards unite franchisees, managers, and the National Support Office to celebrate excellence across the Fernwood network. The event honours those who embody Fernwood’s mission of empowering women to shine through outstanding performance, leadership, and community impact.

Kara was recognised for her exceptional service, leadership, and embodiment of Fernwood’s core values – passion, respect, integrity, commitment, openness, and service. Her dedication to helping women achieve their health and fitness goals has made her a standout within the network.

“Being awarded Fernwood’s Personal Trainer of the Year is an incredible honour and a proud milestone in my 23-year career,” said Kara. “It reflects my passion for empowering women through fitness and my commitment to upholding the values that make Fernwood such a supportive and inspiring community.”

Fernwood Fitness continues to lead the way in women’s health and wellness, providing safe, inclusive, and empowering spaces for women across Australia to move, connect, and thrive.
