Police investigate Campbellfield theft and collision

Police are investigating a theft and collision in Campbellfield on Sunday, August 24.

Officers responded to reports of a theft at a clothing store on Sydney Road about 4am, where two men aged 26 and 31 were reported to have stolen a trolley full of items before leaving the shop.

After seeing a police vehicle parked outside, the two men fled on foot towards Mahoneys road, before being struck by a Ford Ranger ute as they were crossing the road.

The two men were taken to hospital with serious injuries under police watch.

The male driver of the Ford ute is assisting police with their inquiries.
