Darren Bewick will finish up as Greenvale coach at the end of the Essendon District Football League premier division season.
Jets president Bruce Kent in a statement announced that the two-time Essendon premiership player wouldn’t be continuing as coach for next season.
“We would like to sincerely thank Darren for his outstanding contribution, support, and loyalty to the club,” Kent said. “Darren is a person of great character and integrity, and we are proud to have had him lead our senior group.
“Darren joined Greenvale post-Covid during one of the most challenging periods in the club’s history. His leadership, resilience, and commitment to rebuilding our football program have been instrumental in driving the club forward.
“Under his guidance, the senior team reached its first finals appearance in six years – a significant achievement and a testament to his coaching ability and vision.”
Kent said Bewick would continue on as coach for the remainder of the season saying the club was looking forward to finishing the year strongly under his guidance.”
The Jets currently sit in ninth spot with four wins for the season.
This week they face Keilor.
