Police investigate Roxburgh Park crash and suspected gunshot wound

Police are investigating after a man was found with a suspected gunshot wound following a crash in Roxburgh Park on Sunday.

Emergency services were called to reports a white Toyota coupe had gone through a park fence and crashed into a tree near the corner of Donald Cameron Drive and Bridgewater Road about 7pm.

The driver was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Along with injuries believed to have been sustained from the crash, the driver had a suspected gunshot wound to the lower body.

The driver, a 30-year-old man from Reservoir, was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

A 26-year-old Kalkallo woman also in the car was conveyed to hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries sustained during the collision.

The exact circumstances surrounding the matter are yet to be determined but police believe this is a targeted incident.

The investigation remains ongoing.
