Attempted carjacking at Broadmeadows Central under investigation

Police are investigating an attempted carjacking that occurred at Broadmeadows Central on Monday, June 9.

It’s understood the victim was inside his white Ford Fiesta about 6.45pm when at least two offenders approached, allegedly smashing the vehicle’s windows before assaulting the man.

The attackers are believed to have arrived in a silver Mitsubishi Lancer with no number plates, and fled the scene shortly after the assault.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have CCTV or dash cam footage from the time, to come forward.
