Whittlesea has a new mayor.
Councillor Martin Taylor was elected to the role unopposed during an unscheduled council meeting tonight.
Council was required to elect a new mayor after former mayor Aidan McLindon was suspended for six months by Local Government Minister Nick Staikos.
