Kangaroos hoping to finish on a high

The Greenvale Kangaroos will need to bowl well if they are to claim the points in their final round of the Victorian Premier Cricket season.

The Kangaroos batted on day one of their match against Melbourne University after winning the toss.

The Kangaroos had a solid start before losing a few wickets.Yaseen Muntasir (56 not out) and Musa Hussain (76) rescued the innings to help their side finish 7-225.

It was a long day in the field for Footscray.

The Bulldogs are at home to Dandenong, which decided to bat in hot conditions. Dandenong batted all day and made 5-363 from its overs. Jay Vine and Dylan Brasher took two wickets each for the Bulldogs. It’s the Bulldogs last game of the season.

In women’s premier cricket, Plenty Valley finished its season with a loss to Prahran.

Prahran made 8-241 from its overs with Merinda Hale making 111.

Madushika Meththananda took two wickets for the Bats.

The Bats fell well short as they were bowled 134. Holly Fulton top scored with 30.

Plenty Valley finished in ninth spot with one win.

In the seconds competition, Greenvale Kangaroos beat Box Hill.

Box Hill made 151 with the Kangaroos 2-145 when the game was called off due to rain giving the Kangaroos a win on Duckworth-Lewis-Stern.

Noura Abdul Qader made 50 for the Kangaroos.

The Kangaroos finish the season in sixth.
