Broadmeadows house fire

Fire Rescue Victoria brought a house fire under control in Broadmeadows early this morning following several triple-0) calls.

The fire was deemed under control after 23 minutes following an internal attack on the fire.

Fire Rescue Victoria reported that firefighters arrived to discover smoke and flames arising from the single-floor residence.

The response was escalated, and crews entered the brick residence with breathing apparatus to tackle the fire from within.

The firefighters also protected adjoining properties along Walsh Stteet.

The crews remained on the scene to ensure the fire was fully extinguished after it was deemed under control at 1.17am.

The single occupant of the residence was evacuated.

Fire Rescue Victoria reports that the fire is unknown but that specialists will be deployed to investigate the source of the event.
