Hume Seniors Festival underway

There will be a diverse range of activities throughout October as part of the Hume Seniors Festival.

Throughout October, seniors in Hume are invited to explore an exciting selection of new activities, celebrating the festival’s 42nd year.

This statewide initiative offers free or low-cost events specifically designed for older community members. Residents can also pick up a copy of the festival guide, available in print at Hume centres or online.

In line with this year’s theme, Explore. Engage. Evolve, the month’s activities aim to support our seniors in embracing curiosity, forging new connections and redefining the concept of aging.

Residents can participate in a wide range of activities across Hume, whether they want to get active, socialise, learn something new, or enjoy music and entertainment.

Some of the activities include chair yoga at various locations, Hume Men’s Shed Open Days at different locations, Music and Movement on October 7, Monica Dullard Comedy Grill at the Sunbury library on October 9 and a senior morning tea at the Kalkallo Community Centre on October 17.
