Craigieburn Eagles have re-signed their two imports for the Big V season.
The Eagles started the announcements with the news that LeWayne Grant was returning to the men’s side.
“LeWayne’s leadership, determination, and game-changing performances helped elevate us to the top, and his presence both on and off the court has been invaluable to our basketball community,” the Eagles said.
“We know how much Wayne means to the nest, and we can’t wait to see him soar even higher in year two.”
Grant played a key role in the Eagles division 2 championship and was named the grand final most valuable player.
The Eagles will play in division 1 next season.
On the women’s side, Briana Gray is returning for a second season.
“Our senior women’s MVP [most valuable player] and all-star five Briana Gray is back and she’s ready to build on the success and winning culture of last season and lead the women’s team to new heights,” the club said.
“Briana’s leadership, professionalism, knowledge and high character ensure she is an absolute favourite here at the nest whether on or off the court and we are thrilled to call a player of her calibre family.
“Year two is going to be a big one so make sure you come down and support her as she makes HERstory.”
