Kolbe Catholic College has come first place in the Regional Finals of the Tournament of Minds.
The team of year eight students competed against six other schools and demonstrated its ability to tackle complex, open-ended challenges with creativity and innovation which allowed it to come out on top in the STEM secondary category.
The Tournament of Minds is a program aimed at enhancing the potential of students by developing a diverse range of skills, including critical thinking, time management, and collaborative discipline.
Kolbe Catholic College principal Cameron Whitford said he is proud of what the students achieved.
“Their dedication, teamwork, and ability to think critically under pressure are truly commendable. We look forward to supporting them as they prepare for the upcoming finals,” he said.
The victory cemented the team a spot in the Victorian Branch Finals which is scheduled for September 8.
