Second warrant executed in search of missing man

A Greenvale property has been searched as part of the investigation into the disappearance of Craigieburn man, Adrian Romeo.

Police have executed a warrant at the Brendan Road property on Thursday.

This warrant follows another one on Tuesday in Wildwood.

A 34-year-old Wildwood man is now facing firearms and drugs charges after being arrested at the Wildwood property.

A police search of the Wildwood property resulted in the seizure of a firearm, ammunition, a quantity of drugs and four stolen vehicles.

He has been charged with being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, possession of cartridge ammunition, possession of imitation firearm, handling stolen goods and possessing drugs of dependence.

He appeared before Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court on July 24.

The warrants follow a public appeal for information by police on Sunday, July 21 as part of the investigation into Mr Romeo’s disappearance in February.

The 43-year-old Craigieburn man was last seen by his family about 5.30pm on Saturday, February 10, at his Dempster Drive address.

He told his parents he was going to a property in Greenvale.

He has not contacted any family or friends since.

Mr Romeo’s family reported him missing on Monday, February 12.
