Man arrested as part of illicit firearms investigation

A Meadow Heights man was charged as part of an investigation into an alleged firearms manufacturing in Melbourne’s north west suburbs.

Police conducted a warrant of a residential address and a workshop in Meadow Heights on June 28.

During the search of the address, police found parts of firearms, ammunition and drugs that include methylamphetamine and 1,4-butanediol.

The 35-year-old man was arrested and later charged with possessing parts to manufacture firearms, possessing cartridge ammunition, possessing methylamphetamine and possessing 1,4-Butanediol.

Thee man was bailed to appear at Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court on October 30.
