Stolen ute in Craigieburn collision

Police are appealing for public assistance after a stolen utility was involved in a Craigieburn collision.

The blue Ford utility was stolen in Albert Street, Sebastopol, on February 21 about 7am.

The Ford was then involved in a collision on the Hume Highway, Craigieburn, on Thursday, February 22, about 10.35pm.

The driver removed several items and fled the scene on foot, leaving the stolen Ford behind.

Investigators have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist them with their inquiries.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, approximately 170cm to 175cm tall, with dark hair and is of slim build. He is aged in his late 20’s or early 30’s.

He was seen wearing light coloured shorts, dark running shoes, a black jumper with a grey stripe on the arm and chest area, and a dark coloured hat.
